Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are gearing up to release Uni5: The World’s Enemy. The April 27 album will mark the full reunion of the group (with Flesh-N-Bone and Bizzy Bone). The release is also the Ohio group’s first on Warner Brothers, after a one-album release with Interscope Records.

It looks like the feud between rapper Ludacris and Foxmusic news’ Bill O’Reilly has ended following a recent conversation that took place between the two men.

In an interview with RadarOnline.com, Ludacris revealed that he confronted O’Reilly at an event the two attended and things went from there.

“The first thing I said to him was, ‘I want to meet the guy who has had so much to say about me, but knows absolutely nothing about me’,” Ludacris told RadarOnline.com. “He wasn’t expecting to see me, at all. The look on his face when he saw me approaching…priceless.”

Although it’s still unclear how exactly the feud between the two began, O’Reilly constantly expressed his distaste for the rapper on his show The O’Reilly Factor and was even successful in getting Ludacris’ endorsement with Pepsi dropped.

“From there, we came to a common ground,” said Ludacris. “To be honest with you, we came together and did an event for charity - as crazy as it sounds. Perhaps everything happens for a reason…It took about seven years for that to happen, but it finally happened. And the joy that came over me, well, it was outstanding.”

News of O’Reilly and Ludacris’ conversation comes only days after the release of Ludacris’ latest project Battle Of The Sexes.

The Philly lo-fi duo Reading Rainbow still haven’t quite broken through, but they have enjoyed little successes. Zoo music Label (which is owned by members of Crocodiles and Dum Dum Girls) released their 7” recently, and Stereogum has written them up.

The band has now finished recording an LP. They don’t have a label yet … but they do have an “I’ll Follow You” video featuring a robot and a sweetheart in a pea coat.

Metallica’s first Columbian concert since 1999 exploded into a riot last night when fans without tickets tried to get in. This resulted in three stabbings, a police injury and 50 arrests. About 1,500 police patrolled the event and there were four tanks present, but this didn’t stop fans from storming the Bogota venue, Simon Bolivar Park.  

Another violent riot occurred outside the same venue in 2009 when ticketless fans tried to coerce their ways into an Iron Maiden concert.

The Los Angeles indie label Dangerbird Records has signed Hot Hot Heat, and will release their album Future Breeds this summer. With this partnership, the band could be abandoning their quest for mainstream acceptance.

This is Hot Hot Heat’s third label since they signed to Sub Pop in 2001. Their breakthrough debut, Make Up the Breakdown, was Sub Pop’s biggest seller since Nirvana. Hot Hot Heat left the label for Warner Brothers (which owns 49% of Sub Pop) shortly thereafter the success of their debut because, as lead singer Steve Bays explained, “We don’t want to play clubs. We love the big audiences.”

After putting out two albums with Warner Brothers, the band left the label. They sent their new LP to the indie label Dangerbird Records. “When we heard the new record, we wanted them to be part of our gang,” says Jeff Castelaz, co-founder/CEO. “When we talked to them, and heard the determination and clarity of purpose in their voices, we had to have them.”

Hot Hot Heat built their own Vancouver studio in order to record Future Breeds. That, together with the switch to a smaller label, could indicate a change in priorities for the band.

Bays at least hints at this. “Because of the kind of record we were making, we realized early on that we needed to finish the entire record before looking for a home for it, if they ‘got it,’ then we could talk.”
