“Know What I Mean” is the first leak off Freeway & Jake One’s The Stimulus Package, which drops Feb. 16, 2010. And if the rest of the album sounds like this track, it looks like Rhymesayers Entertainment has another hit on its hands. For this cut, Jake One layers a brooding organ loop, crunchy drums, and a well-timed vocal sample as the Philly Freezer spits braggadocio-laced rhymes. One has to wonder if the entire record will be filled with similarly paced quick-hitting tracks like “Know What I Mean.” Either way, it’s sounding like both MC and producer have brought their A-game for this one.
