Bad Brains: Bad Brains Used to Sell Least Punk Clothing Item: Flip-Flops

Here’s one for the I can’t believe they’re using punk rock to sell this stuff file: a Japanese company has created flip-flops that reference the cover of Bad Brains’ debut hardcore album, Banned in D.C. Flip-flops are the least punk clothing item of all time (followed closely by chaps), and Bad Brains were really banned in D.C., so this is pretty egregious. The flip-flops, as of right now, aren’t set to hit America, they’re apparently a one-off for the Japanese market. [MBV]
