Kanye West: Fuse Presents Kanye West Live from the Chicago Theatre

If you want flashing lights, you’ve got them here. Last night, Fuse aired a special performance from Kanye West in his hometown of Chicago to benefit his charity organization, appropriately known as The Kanye West Foundation (because nothing says “giving back” more than naming a charity after yourself).

Featuring an awesome and obviously Daft Punk inspired light show, the concert aimed to improve school attendance rates in Yeezy’s breezy city, and Mr. West gave them good reason to attend. Split into two parts, the airing first showcases the Luis Vuitton Don hits “Flashing Lights,” “Through the Wire,” “Put On,” and concert staple “Hey Mama,” followed by the suite of “Jesus Walks,” “Heartless,” “Pinocchio Story,” and “Touch the Sky.” I’ve about seen four different live videos of “Hey Mama” now, and yet I still don’t understand that line about how Kanye’s real life begins when he’s sleeping. Perhaps it’s just beyond me.
